HSPT Workshop
Questions about the workshop? Please contact Vickie Sinclair, HSPT Workshop Coordinator, at [email protected]
Students who participate in the HSPT Workshop will receive personal tutoring and hands on experience with the HSPT via sample questions. Many Catholic high schools utilize the HSPT to assess the strengths and weaknesses of prospective students in essential skills such as language and mathematics. The HSPT evaluates a student's abilities in mathematics, reading, and language.
There are five sections covered in the HSPT Workshop: Verbal Skills (synonyms and antonyms, analogies, logic, and verbal classifications); Quantitative Skills (geometric and non-geometric comparisons, and number manipulations); Reading Skills (the ability to understand central meanings and details of reading passages); Mathematics Skills (mathematical concepts and problem solving, arithmetic, elementary algebra, and basic geometry); and Language Skills (capitalization and punctuation, spelling, usage, and composition).
HSPT Workshop participants do not need to study ahead of time. All material will be provided to them after signing up.
